Wyre Dock Development welcomes calls for regeneration in Fleetwood following publication of a House of Lords Select Committee report on the Future of Seaside Towns.
Director John Woodman said, "The many positive opportunities for Fleetwood as a coastal town have been further underlined by the House of Lords Select Committee findings. This coincides with the presentation of and reaction to our Fleetwood Quays scheme by architects Brock Carmichael last month at MIPIM, the world's largest commercial property expo, which resulted in contacts during the conference which we are following up individually at this time.
Understandably though, given current uncertainty surrounding the UK's relationships in Europe, there is a certain caution by business and investors on commitments to groundbreaking new developments.
Additionally Wyre Dock Development continues to engage with private sector partners in the essential rail link reconnecting Fleetwood to the national rail network and potentially utilising new power technology applications."
